Ban Salak Khok at Koh Chang

Much of Koh Chang, Thailand’s second largest island, has been developed into seaside resorts and all the shops, restaurants and services that tourists require. Still, one village retains its ageless and natural charm, Baan Salak Khok. To help preserve this marine environment, Baan Salak Khok established the Salak Khok Tourism Club. They work at promoting eco-tourism on the island and its shores to establish sustainable tourist activity and prevent irreparable damage. All proceeds from their tours are deposited into an account dedicated to Koh Chang environmental protection.
