Ban Khu Bua

Ban Khu Bua is an archaeological site of an ancient city in Ratchaburi Province that is a must for any visitor interested in Thai history. The site shows that the region used to be a bustling port city during the Dvaravati period. The many pagodas, monuments and other buildings also show that Buddhism has been prevalent in Thailand for over 1000 years. Ban Khu Bua Located seven and a half (7.5) miles (12 kilometers) southeast of the town of Rachaburi is the village of Khu Bua.Khu Bua, Muang District, is the home of the Tai Yuan people. Within the walls of Wat Klong Suwan Kiri is Jipathapunsathan Ban Khu Bua Museum (Ban Khun Bua Museum).The museum was opened to the public in 2006. The museum’s  objects are displayed in 10 rooms.Each room representing a different theme or piece of history of the community.
