Muay Thai Show in Thailand
Muay Thai is sport of Thailand. Almost every town has a Muay Thai stadium and shows take place most nights of the week in Bangkok. Muay Thai is known as the science of the eight limbs because fighters are allowed to use their knees, elbows and chins as well as their fists. A fight can last for up to five threeminute rounds and will be accompanied by traditional music. Fighters will also normally perform a ‘Wai Kru’ (paying respect to teachers) dance before each bout.
Muay Thai is increasingly popular with foreigners who come to Thailand to train and sometimes even fight. The best places for watching Thai Boxing in Bangkok are the Lumpini Stadium on Rama 4 Road and the Ratchadamnoen Stadium on Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue.
You can take a taxi to the stadium.
