Street Food Khao San Road
Street food on Khao San Road has reassuringly changed little over the last decade. Vendors sell cut fruit, egg noodles and spring rolls. Falafel and kebabs are a big favorite here too. Try out the freshly made smoothies, which will refresh you in the heat of the day.
The Khao San Road is the epicentre of the Thai backpacking scene and is often referred to as the gateway to Southeast Asia. It is a melting pot unlike any other on the planet containing travellers from every corner of the planet and shops, restaurants, bars and stalls to cater to their every need. During the day the street is busy with people browsing the various shops and stalls but after dark the serious business of having a good time gets underway. Even if you are no longer a young traveller leaving home for the first time the Khao San Road is still worth a look
The most convenient transport option is by taxi or Tuk Tuk if your hotel is not too far.
