Ban Nong Khao
Ban Nong Khao is a small village in Kanchanaburi where visitors can sample the traditional Thai way of life. The villagers live in a simple, agricultural society and you can observe the inhabitants from the back of a farm truck or bicycle as they show Thailand’s ancient cultures and traditions.
A cultural village of Ban Nong Khao urges you to travel back to the old days of a traditional agricultural society in which you can take part in various folk activities from rice pounding and making Thai typical desserts to participate in rural ceremonies and try planting rice while singing traditional PhlengYoei and PhlengPhuangMalai folk songs.

In this issue,we introduces to you Ban Nong Khao Village situated in Nong Khao Sub-county, Tha Muang County, Kanchanaburi Province, 129 km. northwest of Bangkok. Recently, I went there with some friends and got a touch of its simple charm and would like to share the experience with you. First of all, let’s have a glimpse of its history.
