Ban Bang Chao Cha
Famed for it’swickerwork, Ban Bang Chao Cha in Ang Thong allows visitors to view and get involved in the art of bending and shaping rattan and bamboo into functional and decorative everyday items. Much of the creativity takes place in the grounds of local temples, which makes for both a cultural and educational experiences.
The Bang Chao Cha village is located in Amphoe Pho Thong, 14 kilometres from the town. The villagers have retained the art of traditional basketry and make old patterns as well as create modern designs. The bamboo baskets are made in various shapes and sizes, and can be used in many ways.

Learn about and purchase local arts and crafts, by visiting a wickerwork village, or checking out the local gem cutting industry and the craftsmen and women at work in-laying mother of pearl onto decorative items. There are also plenty of temples and other archaeological sites.
The mildest temperatures for touring are from November to February.
