Sukhothai Historical Park

Sukhothai Historical Park covers the ruins of Sukhothai, capital of the Sukhothai kingdom in the 13th and 14th centuries, in what is now the north of Thailand. It is located near the modern city of Sukhothai, capital of the province with the same name.

Sukhothai Historical Park offers a wondrous variety of viewing experiences whether on foot, on car or even tram. Beautifully landscaped and well maintained, the Park truly deserves its UNESCO World Heritage title. The first highlight is Wat Mahathat located in the centre of the town. The first stone inscription reveals that the temple was the heart of the ancient kingdom as well as the crowning glory of King Ramkhamhaeng the Great who defeated Khun Samchon of Chod, at a battle fought atop elephants at the tender age of nineteen. The king also adopted Hinayana Buddhism and eventually brought to the Sukhothai kingdom peace and glory. Apart from a visit to the archaeological sites at the Historical Park. a stop to savour the local fare of ‘Khanom Jeen-Kuayteaw Sukhothai Banna is another recommended activity. Located next to Pailin Hotel,Sukhothai Accommodation, the restaurant serves an array of ‘khanom jeen’ or rice noodles with five toppings green curry, nam ngeaw (Northern style topping), namya kati (coconut milk topping), nam ya pa (coconut milk-free topping) and nam prik (chilli paste topping). Another must-have dish is ‘kuaytaewnam Sukhothai’ or Sukhothai noodle soup complimented by their top dessert of ‘lodchong puak nam kati’ (sweetened taro noodle with coconut milk). Sukhothai OTOP souvenir and handicraft products are available in front of the restaurant. Back in Sukhothai city centre, you can explore Si Satchanalai Historical Park by turning left at Klong Po intersection or return to the town to visit Sukhothai Bud¬dhist Park located in front of City Hall, in which a model of nine significant Buddha statues from the Sukhothai era were retrieved from other provinces and returned to their rightful place.

Banmai Market, in Chacherngsao harks back to Rama 4. The market was created by Chinese immigrants who built their homes along the Bangpakong (Ta Chin) River long ago, and it slowly became the economic hub of Chacherngsao.
Banmai Highlight: You can’t miss Ban Pa Nu, a riverside restaurant in Ban Mai, which specializes in pla chon lui suan and tom yam goong mae nam with ingredients coming from the Bangpakong river. For desert, venture over to Mae Wong’s for their stellar lod chong.

Banmai Market

The old Bangplee market is one of the nine major markets in the eastern province. Originally named Sirisopon, Bangplee floating market is the only old market in Samrong to have survived both fires and new developments, still boasting the same

architectural style it had when it was built 150 years ago. The wooden walkway stretching along the river at least 500 meters is still strong enough to handle thousands of tourist every day. Along the way you will find many old relics for sale, like antique bowls or lanterns. As it’s situated near Bangplee Yai Nai temple, there’s a focus on items for monks and temple but don’t underestimate the rest of the market because its many wooden shops are packed with plenty of delicious stuff.

Bangplee Highlight: if you wake up too late, you’ll miss the famous, half-century-old gway tiaw moo which runs out as fast as 1 pm. You can be comforted by kanom jeen Pa Mol where the lovely Mol and her daughter serve their delicious nam ya (curry soup)every weekend. Choose from kati, nam prik, curry and gaeng tai pla, all at 625. And don’t forget to treat yourself with kanom than (layered pudding) Mae Boonsri, cooked daily according to the traditional recipe.

Bangplee Bonus: Other than food and old junk, this is fortune teller central. Nearly one in every 10 shops of this community is in the business. But if you don’t believe in destiny, just walk to Bangplee Yai Nai temple to pay homage to Luang Por To, one of the famous Buddha statues in Thailand, and pray for some luck instead.

The locals still popular shopping, shopping on a daily basis. Or to ride the delicious dishes. Visit the old atmosphere. Have a sufficiently.

Just 30 minutes away by motorway (exit at Ladkrabang), this place is a foodie paradise within reach of urban mortals. From the entrance, Khlong Suan is packed with food stalls selling every old recipe under the Siamese sun, like the rare kanom dokjok, a fried dessert in the shape of flower. Situated on Pravetburirom canal, this old community harking back to the King Rama V era used to be the top shopping spot for people who traveled along the canal linking Bangkok and Chacherngsao. Though it’s divided along provincial lines – Samut Prakarn and Chacherngsao – Khlong Suan is famous for its laid back living, harmonious Chinese and Muslim communities and great coffee shops.

Khlong suan Samut Prakarn Highlight: Funny how places with good quality of life always have the best coffee shops. The must-visit is Pae Li. This coffee house is particularly popular for its grandpa, who has appeared in every media outlet out there. Even though he’s in his 80s, he still serves every drink and smiles to any camera approaching him.

Khlong Suan Samut Prakarn Bonus: Along the way to Khlong Suan, you will pass stalls selling the famous pla salid (deep fried fish) from Bang Bor which is the best and the biggest pla salid-producing area in Thailand.

Thailand attracts many honeymooners every year and this should come as absolutely no surprise. The country offers a number of world-class resort destinations Hua Hin, Samui, Phi Phi, Phuket and Kao Lak include eg. This article provides some information about the most popular destinations for Thailand honeymoon couples interested in visiting this beautiful country after their marriage. I would also like to offer some insight about why so many newlyweds choose for this nation. There are of course many beautiful beaches and up ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy a peaceful and romantic holiday. Thailand is also home to some of the best resorts and hotels in the region and room rates are significantly cheaper than what people are used to back home. Here are some of the most popular areas of the country that normally visit during their honeymoon vacation. Although Bangkok Bangkok is a very big and busy city, many people often choose to spend one or two nights in the Thai capital.

Thailand Entertainment

As with many large cities in devel-oping countries, a large proportion of wealth located in one area causes that region to develop quickly. In the case of Thailand, this area is Bangkok. Bangkok, like nearby Pattaya, is packed with massage parlors, go-go bars and karaoke places, with Patpong, Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza being the main areas catering to tourists. There are, however, many places to find a relaxing spot and enjoy one of Asia’s most diverse cities. Bangkok offers a widely varied nightlife. There are Westernized clubs and cafes for the rich, and lower-cost bars and pubs that are very popular with the locals. The city’s renowned district of Phra Nakhon is home to one of the world’s very first international streets Khao San Rd. A walking street, it allows visitors to see the diversity of the world on one single road where East meets West. Sukhumvit Road area boasts some of Asia’s most exclusive clubs and restaurants along the 5 km section between Ekamai and Withayu, with a number of activities available for the city’s thousands of night owls.

Pattaya

Pattaya is renowned for its nightlife, which caters primarily to foreign¬ers. The city has literally hundreds of beer bars, go go bars, and night-clubs/discotheques.. Entertainment

Muay Thai (Thai Boxing)

Muay Thai matches aimed at the tourists can be seen at many of the open-air beer bar complexes. This is more like a demonstration, so don’t expect the real excitement of the real match.
Another important but understated aspect of Pattaya are the excellent foreign restaurants. Often run by expats, most offer excellent food at prices far below those found in Bangkok, Samui or Phuket. High quality German, British, American, Mexican and Indian food can easily be found. enjoy Entertainment.
